Community Tree Inventory for Red Oak
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be completing a community tree inventory for the City of Red Oak, starting August 12th, 2019. This tree inventory will be a complete census of community managed trees in right of way areas and other city owned spaces. The data will be used to identify the overall health of Red Oak's community forest, while providing useful information to the city for planning and budgeting purposes. The individuals completing the inventory will briefly assess and map the location of each tree in the city right of way areas. This inventory will not include trees on private property. If you have any questions, please contact city hall or the DNR District Forester's office at 712.350.0013.
